ACi is the UK's longest running Notebook / Laptops specialist company with many years experience sourcing and supplying high specification Notebook / Laptops computers to new and existing markets throughout the UK.
Allied Computers International (and the ACi brand) was formed in London in 1992. ACi recognised that the UK market was suffering from a distinct lack of professional Notebook suppliers, and ACi was born shortly afterwards. ACi’s aim was to provide the UK laptop buying public with a bespoke solution, tailoring laptop computer solutions to a clients specifications down to the smallest detail.
ACi source and supply high specification reliable notebooks at prices that truly reflect 'value for money' for the customer and we are universally acknowledged as being pioneers in continually reducing the gap in performance and functionality between Laptop and Desktop computers.
Highly respected by the demanding UK computer press, ACi has consistently been recognised by winning a multitude or awards and accolades for our products and services including a record breaking 8 in our first year. In 2002 we won the industries most prestigious award; the Zero1 award from DIGIT in the countries 'Best Notebooks Of The Year' award.
ACi operates from North-West London from our purpose-built HQ. Our HQ encompasses our specialist manufacturing, testing and repair facilities along with the industry's best research and development team and state of the art showroom facilities. Unlike many of our competitors, ACi actively encourage our clients to come in.
Our R & D team is the driving force behind our company. Our engineers are painstaking in hand-selecting the best possible computer components available through the world, and rigorously bench-testing them to identify the right combination to power our Notebooks / Laptops in most efficient manner. Our policy pays dividends, as ACi notebooks / Laptops regularly top the charts in the Computer Press Group tests - outperforming our competition by huge margins on most occasions. Similar to tuning a car engine for maximum performance, all ACi Notebooks / Laptops are configured over a period of 5 days prior to despatch to ensure optimum performance for our clients upon delivery.
In addition to fantastic notebooks / repairs, ACi also recognise that our customers are our business so an enormous emphasis is placed on our approach to Customer Services. It is our policy to continually invest in improving Customer Service and efficiency thus reducing lead-time on new machines and also minimising downtime on defective equipment. We realise the difficulties our clients face when presented with being without a laptop for repairs, so our in-house systems our geared towards ensuring machines are fixed in the quickest time-scale possible without compromising on quality - keeping our clients informed of repair status at all times.
ACi remain one of the last Notebook / Laptop manufacturers / repairers who do not employ frustrating menu-driven telephone queuing systems or premium rate telephone lines. Call us old fashioned, but we recognise that when our clients call they want to speak to a person - not be put on hold for 20 minutes on a premium rate phone line! All phone calls, whether pre-sales or post-sales, are answered within 3 rings by a human being. It's standard company policy, and our clients enjoy the personal service it brings.
Our professional approach to customer service was acknowledged by the industry in 1998 when ACi was awarded the prestigious PC Direct Hits Award beating runners-up Dell, IBM and Gateway.
All ACi staff are trained to place equal emphasis on pre-sale and post-sale support ensuring that our clients receive an accurate, friendly and professional service every step of the way. Our Sales Team (we do not employ "order takers") will assist you in choosing exactly the right product for your needs, whilst our engineers will provide you with support that will prevent product obsolescence and ensure minimal downtime.
Recent years have seen the emergence of several new and exciting additions to the services we supply to the UK laptop market. Corporate Imaging, Buy-Back schemes, No Fix - No Fee repair schemes and several unique Leasing packages has kept ACi at the forefront of the Laptop market, and are services welcomed and enjoyed by all ACi clients past and present.
In addition to the above, ACi have also diversified into Laptop / Repairs. Due to our long standing relationship with the Major 5 Laptop Manufacturers in the Far East, our engineers have been fortunate enough to be trained down to Manufacturer level in Laptop repairs. This relationship has also allowed us to have access to parts for Laptop which no other Laptop Repair Centre in the UK have.
